My mom has a habit of seeing artwork she likes and blowing it up to paint onto either a huge canvas or a folding screen – really anything she can find. She has done it with Sonia Delauney works and others. When I came upon Kim Parker’s designs I was immediately struck by how similar they looked to some pieces that my mom had reinvented over the years – especially this Purple Tulips pillow
Kim also does more abstract works like the Blue Rink Rug below here.
One I can envision in a house I’ll have one day though is Tea Roses – seen below already in someone’s home.
